This Privacy Policy describes how SkillFrame ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use skillframe.co and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Information we collect
Account and contact data. When you sign up or contact us, we collect information you provide, such as your email address and optional profile or preference details.
Photos and creative content. To deliver assignments and feedback, you may upload photographs and related materials. We store and process these files as described below.
Usage and technical data. We collect information about how you use the Service, such as device type, browser, approximate region derived from IP address, pages viewed, and events we log for reliability and product improvement. We may use cookies or similar technologies for session management and analytics.
Communications. If you email us or receive messages from us (for example, magic-link sign-in or assignment emails), we process the content of those messages and related metadata.
Payments. If you purchase a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects billing details. We receive limited information from Stripe needed to manage your subscription, such as payment status and the last four digits of a card where applicable.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including personalized assignments and progress features
- Authenticate you and maintain your account
- Generate AI-assisted feedback on your submissions using third-party models (see Third-party services)
- Send transactional and service-related email (and, where permitted, product updates)
- Measure usage, debug issues, and run product experiments aimed at improving the experience (we will describe material changes to how we use data in updates to this policy where required)
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect rights and safety
Third-party services
We rely on service providers that may process data on our behalf, including:
- Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage). User content may be stored in cloud infrastructure configured for the Service.
- OpenAI (or similar AI providers). To produce critiques and related features, images and text you submit may be sent to third-party AI APIs for processing. Those providers process data under their own terms and security practices.
Model training. We do not use your photographs, critiques, or other uploads to train models owned or operated by SkillFrame. Third-party AI providers process submissions to return feedback to you; their own terms govern whether and how they may use API inputs for training or improvement of their models.
- Stripe (payments and billing).
- Email delivery (e.g., Resend or comparable providers) for transactional email.
- Hosting and analytics providers as needed to run the website and understand aggregate usage.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with processors as needed to operate the Service or as required by law.
Storage, public links, and sharing
Photos and uploads. Depending on product configuration, files may be stored in cloud object storage. Some sharing or demo features may use URLs that are effectively public or guessable if shared. Do not upload images you are not allowed to share or that contain sensitive personal data you wish to remain confidential.
Shared links. Features such as progress or "DNA" sharing may expose limited information to anyone with the link. Use those features only if you accept that risk.
International users
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country. If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required for international transfers, in addition to this notice.
Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account subject to applicable law; some information may persist in backups for a limited period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at jesse@skillframe.co. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
